Ok, so I woke up this morning and I had no idea where I was. That was really strange. Different country, different time zone, but I'm adjusting. (Left France: Tuesday 7:20pm/12:20pm (Our time) Got to Stockholm 10:15/3:15pm, Left Stockholm 10:10 AM! / 3:10am, Landed in Chicago Wednesday 7:25 pm/12:25pm) So, adjustment time is slightly necessary, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. So far.... it is only the first day... The flight = not so bad but I kept getting confused because I would fall asleep for 15 minutes and think it had been hours. "Where am I now? Ah, over Greenland." haha. I still don't think it's hit home that I'm in the US permanently. (At least, permanently in a temporary manner) But, as it's only the first day, I'm sure I'll get used to being back again. I'm still not technically at my own proper house, so we'll see how that one goes as well. I am excited to see my family (and my dog) again, so that should be good. In the meantime, I'm enjoying small-town life with Alex! I didn't realize how many things I had forgotten. Eh, culture shock.
Leaving France was so very hard, but I took a lot out of it. Who knows, maybe I'll go back someday. Granted it won't be the same as it once was, mais still good. *sigh* I think I'm probably going to miss many things for a long time....
And.... Halfway through Mists of Avalon! I was expecting to be finished but... I slept off and on in the plane, so I gave up reading after failing numerous times. But, it is really good (in the book's defense I was just sleepy.)
